


You would think I could just draw these rough shapes free hand, geez!




Palette for sandy background.

It was fun to be able to fill in large areas for a change.

My teacher analyzed the picture and felt that this color was the underlying color with the violet (water) patches added over top.

Then I started on the farthest body.

Mostly done with this kid.


Started attacking the foreground body.

Worked on body shadows and hair.

I liked the hair. My teacher said I did hair well. we joked about doing portraits of people from the back.

Added in water.

More water upper right, some white highlights on bodies.

Done for the evening.

Done with what I will do on this painting. Added in reflected bodies, then painted more water over those reflections. Anyway.... That's it for this one.
